OUR MISSION

To support and promote excellence in medical and health-related education and research in Zimbabwe, and to play a leading role in addressing the HIV/AIDS pandemic; with special emphasis on preventing new pediatric infections and supporting orphans, vulnerable children and families affected by AIDS.

OBJECTIVES
1) To develop partnerships with the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and non-governmental organizations in order to develop and implement meaningful interventions to decrease the incidence and impact of HIV / AIDS on the children of Zimbabwe.
2) To support orphans, vulnerable children and families through the development of community-based programs, including interventions such as preschool programming and primary education support, in order to increase the capacity of communities and families to care for children affected by AIDS.
3) To support excellence in medical and health-related education and research in Zimbabwe.
4) To develop youth-focused programs that address issues relevant to the lives of young men and women, including psychosocial support, self-empowerment, AIDS/sexual awareness, gender issues and life skills.
5) To support the development of comprehensive, community-based rehabilitation programs for disabled children and their caregivers.
6) To encourage and support the education and training of young women for leadership positions, especially those wishing to pursue medical and health-related professions .
7) To foster collaboration between medical, research, academic and donor communities worldwide, and particularly in Zimbabwe, Sub-Saharan Africa, the United States and the United Kingdom.
