| OUR MISSION |

To support and promote excellence in medical and health-related education and research in Zimbabwe, and to play a leading role in addressing the HIV/AIDS pandemic; with special emphasis on preventing new pediatric infections and supporting orphans, vulnerable children and families affected by AIDS. |

| OBJECTIVES |
 |
| 1) |
To develop
partnerships with the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health, Ministry
of Education and non-governmental organizations in order to
develop and implement meaningful interventions to decrease the
incidence and impact of HIV / AIDS on the children of Zimbabwe. |
 |
| 2) |
To support orphans, vulnerable children and families through
the development of community-based programs, including interventions
such as preschool programming and primary education support,
in order to increase the capacity of communities and families
to care for children affected by AIDS. |

| 3) |
To
support excellence in medical and health-related education and
research in Zimbabwe. |
 |
| 4) |
To develop youth-focused programs that address issues relevant to the lives of young men and women, including psychosocial support, self-empowerment, AIDS/sexual awareness, gender issues and life skills. |

| 5) |
To support the development of comprehensive, community-based rehabilitation programs for disabled children and their caregivers. |
 |
| 6) |
To encourage and support the education and training of young women for leadership positions, especially those wishing to pursue medical and health-related professions . |
| 7) |
To foster collaboration between medical, research, academic
and donor communities worldwide, and particularly in Zimbabwe,
Sub-Saharan Africa, the United States and the United Kingdom. |
